Exchange and Return Policy

At Silva Stitches Crochet, we take pride in creating premium handmade crochet bags and accessories with exceptional craftsmanship. Every item is carefully inspected before it is shipped to ensure it meets our high quality standards.

Handmade Products

As our products are handcrafted, slight variations are part of their unique character. Please note:

  • Colours may vary slightly from the images displayed on our website due to differences in yarn dye lots supplied by manufacturers.
  • Colours may also appear differently depending on your monitor, mobile device, or computer screen settings.
  • These natural variations are not considered faults or defects.
  • Due to the handcrafted nature of our products, slight variations in stitch tension and finish are part of the uniqueness of each piece and are not considered defects.”

Change of Mind

We do not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect colour selection, or personal preference.

Please choose carefully before completing your purchase.

Faulty or Defective Products

If you believe your item has a manufacturing or craftsmanship fault, please contact us within 14 calendar days of receiving your order by emailing contact@silvastitches.com.au.

To request an assessment, please provide:

  • Your order number.
  • A description of the fault or defect and how it affects the product.
  • Clear photographs or a short video showing the issue. 

The item must:

  • Be unused.
  • Be returned in its original condition.
  • Include all original packaging, logo, tassel, and dust bag.

Once we receive your information, we will assess whether the issue is the result of a manufacturing or craftsmanship defect.

If our assessment determines that:

  • the item has a genuine manufacturing or craftsmanship fault, we will offer a replacement, repair, or refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
  • the fault has resulted from misuse, accidental damage, improper care, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow our care instructions, the return or exchange request may be declined.

Customers are responsible for the cost of returning the item for assessment. If the product is confirmed to have a manufacturing fault, we will reimburse the reasonable return shipping costs.

Please note that returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.

 

Custom Order 

We are delighted to create custom colour orders to suit your preferences.

For bags requested in colours that are not currently available on our website:

  • Production generally takes 7–14 business days, depending on demand and the availability of materials.
  • If a requested yarn colour is unavailable, we will contact you to discuss alternative options.

As each custom item is handmade specifically for you, custom orders cannot be cancelled, returned, exchanged, or refunded unless they are faulty under Australian Consumer Law.

We reserve the right to limit the quantities of any products offered for sale.

Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
